Job Title: Drilling Engineer - Deepwater

Job Description:

  • Develops and packages Deepwater drilling programs (detailed procedural steps) for each well construction project. Incorporates lessons learned from previous wells, seek input from all Agbami office and rig based drilling personnel to optimize programs for maximum efficiency and optimal costs.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of second class Lower Division.
  • Minimum of Fifteen (15) years relevant post degree work experience (includes National Youth Service) as a Drilling Engineer, some of which must be in Deepwater Operations.
  • Strong analytical, team work and problem solving skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • Demonstrable ability to prepare Deepwater drilling programs.
  • Ability to coordinate a multitude of contractors and equipment in a complex completion environment.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of well planning software.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of community and logistics issues related to drilling in Nigeria environment.
  • Effective communication skills.
